Barista & Co's Top 3 Festival Survival Tips

Festival season is finally upon us and you know what that means… Time to get your bum bags packed, dust off the tent and get ready for a lot of glitter!

If you’re heading to a festival this summer, you may have noticed many of them are introducing new rules in order to reduce waste, which is great news. So, to make your life easy, we’ve listed our top tips for surviving a festival - waste free…

  1. Water Bottles

A lot of festivals across the UK are no longer selling water bottles to reduce the amount of single use plastic being thrown away. Our first tip is to make sure you take a sturdy reusable water bottle and use the free fill up stations dotted around the grounds. Not only will you be reducing waste but also saving money.

  1. Reusable Coffee/Tea Infusers

We all need our fresh coffee/tea fix and that’s why our second tip is to take a coffee/tea infuser with you. Infusers produce less waste as there is no need for a tea bag and all the used grounds/tea leaves are compostable making disposal environmentally friendly.

  1. Reusable Coffee Cup

If you prefer to get your coffee from inside the festival grounds, our third tip is to take your own reusable cup. This will reduce the amount of coffee cups being thrown away and will make your tent less cluttered with excess rubbish.
